Gregg Ori Hoffman
The grandson of German-Jewish immigrants, Gregg Hoffman was born and raised in central Ohio and studied Linguistics at Ohio State University. After living and traveling in Europe for 2 years, Gregg settled in sunny St. Augustine, Florida, where he was actively involved in the Jewish community and taught Hebrew School for 5 years. Eventually finding himself ready for a faster pace of life, Gregg relocated to Washington, DC where he studied Psychology at Gallaudet University, trained in Krav Maga, and worked as a professional sign language interpreter, traveling the globe for work and for fun. Always passionate for Israel since his teenage years, Gregg visited Israel in the spring of 2014 and made Aliyah 6 months later. Gregg currently resides in Tel Aviv, and is loving every minute of it.
Seth was born in sunny South Florida. He was brought up with a strong Jewish background, attending USY Jewish Youth Group and Jewish sleep-away camp for 8 years. Seth’s father was born in Israel and his Grandparents were Holocaust survivors, so he always had a strong connection with Israel. Seth has been a DJ and owned a DJ company since the age of 16. He visited Israel for the first time when he was 18 years old, and fell in love the second he walked off the plane. Seth graduated from University of Central Florida in 2009. Recently, Seth completed the Eilat Hotel Experience and it completely changed his life. So much that he decided to stay and share his amazing experience with future Israel Way participants! He currently is living in Tel Aviv and looking to make Alyiah very soon.
Career Advisor and Internship Placement Coordinator
Grisha was born and raised in Belarus. At the age of 17, he made aliya with his family. He served in the IDF in the Search and Rescue Unit. After his release, he attended Tel Aviv University and received a degree in Sociology and Psychology. He also acquired certification in HR Management. He has 15 years of experience in career advisement and human resources. He joined the Israel Way team in 2013.
Program Advisor (Russian)
Yana was born and raised in Belarus. At age 18, Yana studied at the Belarusian State University and received a degree in Jewish studies. During her studies, she began working for the Israeli Cultural Center, where she worked with the Jewish youth, teaching them Hebrew, guiding summer camps and accompanying the Birthright trips as a counselor. At the age of 23, she participated in Israel Way's Bat Yam internship program. Thereafter, she decided to make aliya. She joined the Israel Way team in 2012.
Keren Burlan was born and raised in NY to Russian Israeli parents. She was very active in the Jewish community throughout her life, and after completing high school, at the age of 18, she decided to make Aliya to her family's and the Jewish people's homeland. She received her BA at IDC Herzliya in the school of Government, Diplomacy and Strategy, where she spent her final year of studies in the Argov Fellows honors program. Upon completing her BA, she wanted to contribute to the Israeli society and partake in sharing the responsibility of keeping the Jewish homeland safe, so she enlisted into the Israel Defense Forces. She served in the Foreign Relations Branch of the Ground Forces as an NCO of Diplomacy and Information Analyst. She currently resides in Herzliya.
Sam Braun was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was an active member of the Jewish community while growing up and was involved with USY during his teenage years.Sam studied English and Philosophy at Beloit College in Wisconsin and after graduating came to Israel on Birthright through URJ Kesher. He stayed on to participate in the Tel Aviv Internship Experience and fell in love with Israel during that time. He currently resides in Tel Aviv.
