Community Involvement Gap Track Tuition:

Community Involvement Gap Track is able to provide an incredibly affordable, comprehensive tuition package due to subsidization from the Israeli government and generous private donations. Tuition includes:

  • Flights between New York and Israel
  • Housing
  • Health Insurance
  • Monthly Meal Stipend
  • Trips in Israel
  • Hebrew Ulpan
  • Group Activites
  • Transportation from Ben Gurion Airport to group residence

Breakdown of MASA Grants:

MASA awards two kinds of financial aid: Automatic Universal Grants (provided to every participant who meets the basic qualifications below) and Need-Based Financial Aid Grants (provided to every participant who meets the qualifications listed in the section below titled "Need-Based Financial Aid Grants").

Automatic Universal Grants
Post-high school participants and undergraduate students will automatically receive a universal grant of $1,000.

Need-Based Financial Aid Grants
  1. Financially Independent Participants
    Financially independent participants on programs less than 7 months can apply for a need-based financial aid grant of up to $1,500 if they fit the following requirements:
    • They can present notarized letters from their parents confirming their independence.
    • They have an income of $22,500 or less per year.
    • They can demonstrate fiscal independence by showing a housing lease with their names for at least four months.
  2. Financially Dependent Participants
    Financially dependent participants on programs less than 7 months can apply for a need-based financial aid grant of up to $1,500 if they fit the following requirement:
    • They can demonstrate that their families' annual income does not exceed $22,500 per person.

NOTE: Participants from nations other than the US and Canada are eligible to receive $1000 in Universal Grants and up to $5,000 in Need-Based Financial Aid Grants.

Basic Requirements for MASA Grants:
  • You must be Jewish
  • You may not have Israeli citizenship (or if you do, you must have left Israel before your 14th birthday and have lived outside Israel for at least the last 4 years)
  • You must not have participated in an organized long-term program in Israel since September 2004
  • You must have graduated high school by the program start date
  • You must be under the age of 31 at the start of the program.


Payment Terms & Conditions

Upon your conditional acceptance to the program, you will be asked to make a deposit to secure your place in the program. Depending on the date of your acceptance, you may be asked for additional payments as well. A detailed outline of the Payment Terms & Conditions can be found here.
