FREE Community Involvement Sample Schedule:
Community Involvement is broken into three phases: Orientation, Hebrew studies, and Volunteering.
- Orientation begins the moment each participant arrives to Israel and lasts for the first week of the program. It is an opportunity to meet your fellow participants, acquaint yourself with the staff, and get settled on your new journey in Israel.
- Hebrew Studies follows upon the completion of Orientation. An intensive period of Hebrew ulpan study is provided during the first two weeks of the program. Afterwords, studies will continue twice a week. Overall, participants will receive a total of 120 hours of Hebrew at the beginners level or 80 hours at the advanced level. Ulpan prepares participants to communicate effectivley in Hebew for their everday life in Israel.
- Volunteering begins after completing Orientation and Hebrew studies this way the volunteer has passed the stage of settling into Israel and can communicate with their volunteer placements.
