Gap Year Experience
Affordable Options for 3, 6 or 9 Months!
Atid is the only gap year program in Israel which allows you to design your own experience: choose the length of your program (3, 6, or 9 months), the communities in which you wish to live (Kibbutz-Educational Village, the city) the courses for which you want college credit, and therefore the price of your program!
Atid features two gap year experiences: Community Involvement (in which
participants live in a lively Israeli city and participate in meaningful
volunteer service projects) and the Kibbutz-Educational Village
Experience (in which participants live in a beautiful Israeli
Kibbutz-Educational Village and participate in Kibbutz-Educational
Village life).
WANT COLLEGE CREDIT? Choose to make your mandatory Hebrew, Tiyulim (field studies) and Volunteer projects college-level courses, for which you will earn valuable credit (up to 14 credits).
YOU CHOOSE the length of your gap year program and - therefore - the number of experiences in which you wish to participate. We rotate locations every 3 months - so you can come for 3 months and have a kibbutz-educational village OR a city experience, come for 6 months and have BOTH experiences, or come for 9 months and rotate into a new kibbutz-educational village or city.
On this affordable, choose-your-own-adventure-style gap year experiences, you will build character and community. Atid is an affordable, unforgettable experience of personal growth, community involvement, study and travel. Atid is the ultimate way for high-school graduates to take time out before starting college.
Atid gap year program will prepare you for collegiate and adult Jewish life; our extraordinary program is unique in that it focuses on personal growth and development through participation in meaningful service projects building Jewish identity, teaching important skills (you'll learn to cook dinner with courses taught by Jewish mothers on kibbutz-educational village!), and creating a caring community in which fellow participants become like family.
