Program Structure
The program consists of two "experiences." Each experience lasts 3 months - you may choose to participate for 3 months (one experience), 6 months (both experiences), or 9 months (extend your trip by returning to the experience that was most meaningful to you).
Both Experiences Include:
הִתְפַּתְּחוּת אִישִׁית Personal Development
The Atid program is focused on the concept of Personal Development (hitpatchut ishit). Each element of the program is designed to foster personal growth, Jewish identity, group unity and preparation for college life. During the Kibbutz, participants will have the opportunity to earn college credit in skill-building courses.

Atid's Hebrew Ulpan (intensive Hebrew class) will have you speaking like a Sabra! The Community Involvement Experience includes weekly Hebrew Lessons; the Kibbutz includes daily Hebrew lessons.

טִיּוּלי אתרים Educational Sightseeing Trips
On Atid you won't just visit sites - you will understand the historical, political and natural significance of the sites you visit so that you'll feel an emotional and an intellectual connection to everything you see. You'll visit sites of ancient and modern significance, from the serpentine alleyways of Jerusalem's Old City to Rabin Square in Tel Aviv - Israel is yours to explore!

לימודים ישראלים Israel Studies
Learn about Israel's history, its contemporary issues - culture, religion, politics and more - in our interactive programming series. Get to know Israel through lectures with Israelis from all parts of society!
The Community Involvement Experience
Come to Israel and make a difference!
The Community Involvement Experience offers you an incredible opportunity to spend 3 meaningful months immersed in Israeli society as a productive member of your community. What better way to get to know Israel than by living among its citizens? You will feel the impact you make on your community, while you have fun in the city and get to know and love Israel even more than you ever thought possible.
Program coordinators work one-on-one with each participant to determine his or her passions and talents. After careful consideration and collaboration with community leaders, our volunteers are placed within the community. By paying close attention to the individual desires of participants as well as the needs of the community, each volunteer is able to maximize his/her potential within the community, creating rewarding and enriching experiences memories that will last a lifetime.
The Kibbutz
Get in touch with Israel's history!
Kibbutz participants spend 3 months living in our sheltering, scenic, easy-going Kibbutz-Educational Village home - the perfect place to build community and learn about the history of modern Israel. Live with your fellow participants in private housing, build group and Jewish identity and work alongside Israeli Kibbutz-Educational Village member in volunteer placements. During the Kibbutz, participants engage in daily intensive Hebrew lessons (you’ll be able to order your falafel in Hebrew in no time), and have the option of earning college credit in basic courses. This experience will have you speaking Hebrew like a native and learning skills that will stay with you for the rest of your life.
