Jerusalem Experience - Placement Overview:
Each Jerusalem Experience participant will have the opportunity to sit down with the program coordinator in order to ensure that their own placement is the most suitable and desirable position. No matter what your own personal career goals may be, we will be able to find you a placement that suits your needs and aspirations. Feel free to veer off the beaten path of traditional career options and reach out to satisfy your passions in the creative fields. We can have you working and studying underneath accomplished artists just as easily as we can have you reformatting the entire marketing strategy of a hip internet start-up or volunteering at a non-profit organization. Jerusalem Experience is not interested in forcing you to work for companies we feel would be fulfilling; it is our intention that you both create and fill the mold of your experience. We will work until you are satisfied that your placement will allow you to have that special edge needed in today's fast-paced workforce.
Currently, we have participants taking on such challenges as working in big corporations like Microsoft, tapping into the creative side of the business world at Michal Negrin, or helping out the community while also satisfying their goals and passions by teaching hockey lessons or working with a speech therapist at a special education school. However, there are endless other opportunities available, and one that fulfills your aspirations can be found based on your discussions with the program coordinator.
During the first week or two of the program, you will interview at prospective placement options to determine the best placement for you. The typical workweek is 4-5 days per week averaging 35 hours per week. Transportation to your placements will be provided. In some cases, additional perks may be offered such as lunch/lunch stipend. In addition to your placement, you’ll also be provided with Hebrew Ulpan throughout the duration of the program as well as a weekly lecture series and trips around Israel.
In order for us to prepare the best options for your placement, you must submit your resume to us as soon as you apply for the program so our coordinators may begin looking for ideal placements. Speak to your Program Advisor if you have more questions.
