Scholarship Directory:

We encourage each participant to seek additional funding from their local Jewish Federations, synagogues or other local donors to help offset expenses. In many cases, participants could feasibly come on any of our programs without any out-of-pocket expenses except for their deposit.

For your convenience, we've put together a comprehensive list of scholarship options below. If there is one you find not listed below, please send us a message using our Contact form.

United Jewish Communities of North America
http://www.ujc.org/section.aspx?id=5

Jewish Federations typically have donations and endowment funds specifically allocated to Jewish residents who want to take trips to Israel. Search your Foundation website for links or emails to scholarships.

The Foundation for Jewish Philanthropies

This organization's mission is to ensure the continuation of Jewish life. They have many endowment funds that you can apply for.

Synagogues
If you belong to a synagogue, definitely give them a ring! Often, synagogues have set aside funds specifically designated for sending local teens to Israel. Call your synagogue's office to learn if they offer this type of scholarship.

Greek Life Organizations
Are you a member of a historically Jewish Fraternity or Sorority? There may be some scholarships available for you. Contact the head of your chapter or organization and inquire within about funding.

University Study Abroad Offices
Contact your University's office and ask them about funding or any scholarships they know of off hand - sometimes your school has funds set aside.

University Academic Departments
Does your school have a Judaic Studies or Hebrew department? If so, contact them and ask if they have funding available to support your trip. You can even try History or Political Science Departments as well.

There are many other random scholarships available to young Jews - so get creative and search around. You never know unless you try!
